Yes, there are even new milestones for Apple to reach.
Shares of Apple spiked 3 percent Monday to close at a new all-time high of $411.63, bolstering the company's lead over Exxon Mobile as the world’s most valuable company.
Apple’s previous record high came in July when the stock reached $403.41 per share.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down about 0.9 percent for the day, but that was an improvement over lows hit earlier in the session. The Dow Jones closed at 11,401.01, down 108.08 points.
Apple's market cap suggests that Wall Street figures the company is nearly six times more valuable than Disney, or worth eight times what News Corp. is worth or 11 times what Time Warner is worth.
