iPhone 4 Debuts to Long Lines Everywhere

It's iPhone mania this morning as long lines form across the US for Apple's new, must-have product.
According to AT&T, demand for the iPhone 4 has outpaced demand for the iPhone 3GS at a rate of ten to one. Indeed, the iPhone 4 has arrived with incredible buyer momentum. Already, there are reports that the UK, Japan, Germany, and France have swiftly sold out of their entire iPhone 4 inventories.
The US inventory of available iPhone 4s could also be depleted before the end of launch day, say some market analysts.
In Charlotte, North Carolina alone more than 1,000 people initially stood outside of a Apple’s retail store at SouthPark Mall to be among the first to purchase the device.
Although Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Radio Shack will chime in with some retail availability assistance, don’t expect much today. Apple is once again facing a greater supply shortage amidst unexpectedly overwhelming product demand. And it may take a while for supplies to catch up.
