Patrick Swayze Dead at 57

Those of us at Indiana Grain join the Hollywood community to mourn the loss of actor Patrick Swayze.
"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," said a statement released Monday evening by his publicist, Annett Wolf.
No other details were given.
"One thing I'm not gonna do is chase staying alive," Swayze told Barbara Walters in January. "You spend so much time chasing staying alive, you won't live."
Swayze believed at that time that he had at least two more years to live.
Sadly, his life would end much sooner.
Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early 2008.
Despite claims of a premature demise, Swayze went on to star in the A&E cop drama The Beast.
