Ron Paul for President?

Ron Paul for President?
Well, the conservative political action conference thinks so.
We here at Indiana Grain tend not to stick our nose into political news too often, but we thought this years CPAC straw poll was interesting enough to mention.
Paul received 31% of the votes at this last weekends CPAC straw poll. This is one of the strongest wins in the history of the conference.
Ron Paul is well-known for his political push of the "Gold Standard". Paul has made a serious call for a return to money based on precious metals such as Gold and Silver, and more specifically would like to see a free-market period where gold currencies could compete against the dollar.
Mitt Romney won the poll last year, and many believed Sarah Palin had a good shot at winning this year, considering she has been constantly in the headlines.
Although their is much "buzz" about this years CPAC, historically the winner has not won the actual presidential election very often.
Either way, it looks as if the "Tea Party" is thriving and not going anywhere, anytime soon.
