The Big News in Corn and Soybeans

At least in Arkansas.

More soybeans and rice. Less corn, cotton, wheat and sorghum.

That's what Arkansas Farmers are planting.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Arkansas corn growers are expected to plant seven percent less corn from a year ago. Many farmers are shifting their acreage to soybeans.

The Arkansas Farm Bureau says price and the cost of production are the major reasons for the shift.
